My Life Would Be So Much Better With Thumbs
Hi pups, you know how sometimes life is such a struggle. If I have one regret as a dog it’s that I can’t play Wii. The lack of opposable thumbs can be life hampering at times. And wouldn’t it be amusing to see a dog playing a video game? Intently watching the screen and deftly manipulating the remote controls. It could be the modern version of those paintings you sometimes see of dogs playing poker.
At the cottage, there’s an old Wii and several times a week a bunch of kids come over to play. They like the break from sailing and swimming and I like to sit on the couch and watch them. I also like the fact that kids don’t seem to follow that adult rule about not feeding the dog people-food. I adore the snacks that go along with Wii afternoons. Be it Nachos, popcorn, Twizzlers, it all goes down the same self-satisfied gullet – mine!
Secretly, I like to imagine myself in charge of one of the remote controls. I am most fond of the Wii games of table tennis and basketball but I guess any of the sports that rely on the use of a B-A-L-L catch my attention, however briefly.
