A Howl’oween to Remember

Howl'oween 2016 Toronto

Howl’oween Pup Parade & Costume Contest raises money for Charity

The Bark ‘n Yapp Howl’oween Pup Parade & Costume Contest was held Sunday, October 30, 2016 at South Stanley Park in Toronto. There was a great turnout of proud and responsible dog owners showing off some great outfits for dogs in all shapes and sizes. The driving force behind the Howl’oween Pup Parade & Costume Contest was the promotion of a new social platform that connects dogs to everything dogs love … barknyapp.com.

As a new start up, we are trying to get the word out about this exiting FREE service for dog owners and there is no better way than through a fun party like this

Led by our guest judge IggyJoey, the event was a site to behold as we paraded along King Street W.  We had cars honking in approval and several people on the street stopping to take pictures. Each and every costume was unique and amusing, with three of them in particular caught the eyes of the judges.

Howl'oween 1st Place Winner Spike
Spike

First place went to Spike, a Zuchon (Shit Tzu-Bichon mix), in his “arresting” cop costume.  Winning a Buddy Belt.

Howl'oween 2nd Place Winner Patrick
Patrick “The Donald”

Second place was Patrick the Golden Retriever who looked wild but free in his lion costume (but also doubled as Donald Drumpf). He received a Pet Vu GPS Tracker.

Howl'oween 3rd Place Winner Stacey
Stacey

Third place was a Boston Terrier by the name of Stacey who was dressed up as a shark. She also won a Buddy Belt.

There were lots of honourable mentions, because every costume was so creative and helped to create the much desired vibe. Here a just a few….

The Howl’oween Pup Parade & Costume Contest went a long way in helping Bark ‘n Yapp promote the Ontario SPCA and responsible dog ownership through the use of its platform that connects dogs to everything dogs love.

As stated by Galen Udell, the Founder & Top Dog of Bark ‘n Yapp “As a new start up, we are trying to get the word out about this exiting FREE service for dog owners and there is no better way than through a fun party like this. It was such a success we will be looking to run this event in multiple cities next year”

A Big Thanks To Our Sponsors

Thank you to Buddy Belts and Pet Vu for sponsoring the event and providing our top 3 prizes. Another huge thanks goes out to FUR Dog Portraits for taking some amazing pictures of our participants.
